Introduction
With dwindling resources, generation of waste and landfill there is a need to attempt to conserve resources. More and more products are being design along green principles. You will upcycle a product/s and/or materials into another product that will be of use again. In addition, HL students will also market their product.

- Topic 2: Resource management and sustainable production (SL/HL).
- Topic 8: Sustainability (HL).
- Topic 9: Innovation & Markets (HL).
- Inter-disciplinery connections: biology, environmental systems, business and marketing.
This project will focus on:
- The subject content of topics 2 & 8
- Client/Expert/Peer interactions.
- Market analysis.
- Creativity and innovation.
- How to develop practical solutions to meet real needs for specific markets.
- Creative thinking techniques.
- Modelling techniques.
Grading Criteria
- Criterion A – Analysis of a design Opportunity(SL/HL).
- Criterion F – Making choices for commercial production (HL).
- Product will be graded out of 9.
