As people found\u00a0it hard to drive on the dirt roads that were not in a suitable condition and that it required more fuel to run, America started road construction.<\/p>\n<p align=\"Left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kingsacademy.com\/mhodges\/03_The-World-since-1900\/04_The-Roaring-20s\/pictures\/J+B-103_car-in-mud_1920s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"277\" height=\"218\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/findinglincolnillinois.com\/introtorrandrte66images\/pavinginillinois1920s-550.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"330\" height=\"178\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"Left\">Nation wide, the road construction created more jobs and strengthened the economy further.<\/p>\n<p align=\"Left\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dogwoodinitiative.org\/blog\/images\/20101005_HedleyTrafficJam.jpg\/image_mini\" alt=\"\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0However as cars became\u00a0overpopulated, they\u00a0have been influencing our environment negatively.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The price of automobiles doesn&#8217;t begin to pay for the many indirect costs: waste of land and energy,loss of amenities,and the expenses of traffic enforcement, pollution and the cost of accidents by uninsured drivers&#8230;Society should stop paying the subsidies that keep this endless loop turning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/-Si4fhHfGTs\/0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"216\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0-Jane Jacobs.
